I needed a device that could mount/install on my 2008 Harley Superglide Custom to protect my helmet without having to carry it around. I know no helmet lock is 100% effective because any idiot with a utility knife can cut through a chin strap and steal it. My guess is that even mudbags that steal someone's helmet won't steal the one they just disabled by cutting the chin strap. The second option was to remember to take a padlock or pistol lock with me every time I drove, and I didn't want to do that either. This versatile Kuryakyn helmet lock is what you need. The only place I could fit it is on the steering wheel. I didn't know if I would like the look, but as it turns out, it's not that bad. The chrome trim blends into my steering wheel so I hardly notice it. I didn't use the supplied single ended screws because I didn't want to drill out the damn thing if I ever needed to remove it, so I went to Lowes and got some torx screws instead. I definitely recommend the universal lock for the Kuryakyn helmet.
