That it fits and works
On my vacuum it just had a protrusion on the end of a thin rod that slipped onto the top rubber of the filter. There is no way to remove the old filter without cutting through the filter and rubber to loosen the top. Then with the new one you have to push the tab out of the rubber top to hold it in place. My old vacuum had a screw cap that held the filter in place.
