The model number of the shop vacuum was under the handle. Didn't like it, but not in relation to this review. Only took me alone as the order planner. I like the ease of entering the model number, the filter you want, that's all. Very easy. The package arrived at the specified delivery time.

This actually fits my older 6 gallon Craftsman. Even the local Sears store didn't have and couldn't find anything suitable due to the vacuum's age. Oddly enough, I bought this vacuum at my local Ace hardware store and it was about 30 years old when I bought it. If it didn't fit, I'd have to throw away the vacuum cleaner, because it doesn't suck without a filter.

On my vacuum it just had a protrusion on the end of a thin rod that slipped onto the top rubber of the filter. There is no way to remove the old filter without cutting through the filter and rubber to loosen the top. Then with the new one you have to push the tab out of the rubber top to hold it in place. My old vacuum had a screw cap that held the filter in place.

Decent price and lug filter I wish for an easier removal. I use XXXL hose (nylon) as an external filter. This works way better than any other foam filter I've tried. Most shop vacuums have a tough life. I use mine to suck the dirt out of holes dug to access irrigation lines. It takes a lot less digging when you can use a vacuum to remove dirt. This filter (with the red stripe) is holding up well.

is much heavier than the standard filter and has a better seal at the top and bottom. Used to clean up after drywall work, was very pleased with how much more material I was able to get before fine dust clogged the mesh. hit the trash can from the outside and loosened most of what was clogging it. The original filter couldn't take more than a few strokes of fine dirt before clogging.

I'm looking at the Craftsman CMXZVBE38773 wet filter. I am impressed with the quality of the filter and the fit. This filter costs a few euros more than a cheaper competitor. poor quality and poor fit.
