I'm 5'4" and wear a size 8 in dresses/pants, and purchased this in a medium. I always thought I would look too short and stocky in a romper. However, the black romper looked fabulous with a pair of heels or wedges. The romper covers just enough of the upper thigh that you don't see any "less-than-tight" skin and the ruffles look feminine without being childish. Very slimming and hides lots.It's important to note that the drawstring isn't a drawstring, but rather a simple tie for decoration. It won't cinch or anything. But it didn't matter based on the fit.
