16mm Concave Cylindrical Coarse Diamond 80 Grit Disc

I received this product in exchange for my honest review through the Revain Vine program. Seller's Brand: ILOVETOOL lists this as "ILOVETOOL Diamond Bit Jade Carving Tools 16mm, CONCAVE CYLINDRICAL HEAD". This is a lightweight diamond grinder with a 16mm diameter concave profile. (Figures 1.4). The end is not fully diamond coated, see Figure 2. All diamond bits MUST be used with water to lubricate and cool the bit. This is necessary to eliminate grinding and reduce tool wear. I've found that using a non-hardening plumbing putty to create a dam around a floor surface works well when you can't direct a steady stream of water into a cut or cut underwater in a shallow container. ALSO, you NEED to know that this will slowly "grind" the glass or stone, not "cut" the glass or stone like a jagged burr on wood or metal. With this tool, diamond grit is applied outwards in a thin layer; much more expensive versions use a thicker layer of sintered diamond. Excessive pressure will strip the diamond from the coating and damage or render your diamond bit unusable - slow and intermittent light pressure allows water to contact the surface and carry away crushed debris. Because this chisel is cylindrical in shape, the use of a drill is not required. Be sure to wear hand and eye protection as broken glass and rocks can seriously injure you. Safety first! Recommended for light masonry.
