The $19.98 mic stand is hard to fault. Everything is fine in the stand EXCEPT the plastic clamp. Yes, it's reinforced with steel notches for the legs. When assembling in the working position there is a noticeable movement of the fork for the legs. And that single problem makes the rack patchy. The overall strength of the rack depends on the clamp. can last a year under heavy use, defiantly live less "on tour". What happens to those manufacturers who use plastic for one component that the entire product depends on?
