I ordered this as a Christmas present and was initially very concerned at how light the packaging was that it came in. However, my daughter was not disappointed with this foot spa! It was very light but not as fragile as I feared. The heating function takes a bit of time to heat up the water but once it does it holds its temperature very well and can be set to get quite hot. The bubble function isn't like a boisterous amount of bubbles, but it's a nice relaxing touch. Haven't had any issues with build up in the water so far, but she rinses it out after use, that might help.
