This radio lives up to expectations at a reasonable price. Good size and weight, powerful flashlight, excellent AM/FM/WB radio. Use the microUSB to charge up in hours and the USB-A output to charge your devices. The documentation explains that the space for 3 AAA batteries is for charging another device, not the radio itself. In the event of a power failure and the radio drains, you can crank or use the solar. This is exactly what I was looking for.
