I have Graves' disease. L-carnitine is ideal for this. I've been on 3000mg for about a year but now I only need 1500mg as my thyroid levels are much better. I've been taking the tartrate form of L-carnitine but have found that L-carnitine is not stable in the dry form alone so it's either the tartrate or fumerate form. That's where these liquid capsules come to the rescue. They do contain glycerol (glycerol is a component of fats in our bodies) but it seems better than tartrate to me (I have terrible problems with a lot of foods and chemicals and apparently tartrate is widely found in wine, grapes, avocados and apricots eh I miss) . I've looked at other liquid forms of carnitine, but this is the purest in my opinion as it doesn't contain any flavoring or stevia (for people like me who have trouble with this herb). It's easier than carrying liquid in a bottle. I am very happy that this product exists.
