I took a chance as they are half the price of name brand magnets. The first impression was rather doubtful due to the low weight. However, I will say that they seem to be holding the lathe with sufficient strength. I omitted one star as all the holes on them appear 8-32 and they don't have a 1/4-20 screw to mount on the side for a dial indicator. This can cause the indicator to move at the worst possible moment if the screw is not tightened enough. I could probably drill and trim them down to 1/4-20, but this headache will make me spend the money on just the original powerhouse in the future.
