I bought one of these a few years ago after having double cervical fusion (neck surgery). I started with a flat, firm pillow after surgery and switched to a high, firm pillow a year later. I sleep on my side. With this pillow I can wake up in the morning without neck and shoulder stiffness. I am traveling with my original standard size version. It's worth checking out the bag. My husband recently started having neck pain and headaches. Bought him this version. I already feel relieved.
