I don't understand the complaints about the assembly. The back has a keyhole slot for attaching to a hook or screw (presumably already there), a wide flat surface for you to stick tape to, and a 1/4-20 hole for a suction cup for smooth Can attach surfaces (glass, tiles). I'm not sure how complainers expect to install methods other than these on drywall. For the price, it's basically as good as you could expect. it's not perfect, it's perfect. I want the bubble to have a sight hole at the top and have the 1/4-20 hole at the very top. The only advantage of $100 laser levels over this one is that they are multi-axis. 't. It's great for my use around the house.
