The icing on the cake was the ability to connect it to the ODB port and get performance and engine information. The only downside is the programming. The web app has to use DirectX, to be honest I wasn't even sure if I had a web browser that would allow me to use DirectX with Edge installed by default on Windows 10 machines. Luckily that hides IE still in the background. Once I figured it out, programming became easy and straightforward. If you're buying a quality radio for your modern ODB II car, don't buy it without an iDatalink connector and be sure to use one of these!
