Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic SUV 205/70 R15 96T winter by Stanisaw Wojnowski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend it.

They row perfectly, in deep snow and snow porridge, they never got stuck. I did not feel the difference in behavior with summer tires on wet pavement, on dry they slow down worse. There is a noticeable lateral drift with sharp reactions on the steering wheel - but everything is predictable. They really do not tan in the cold, which at -5, which at -20 are equally soft. They buzz, the hum appears at about 60 km / h and disappears after 100-110 km / h. I decided to supplement the review with an important note, at a speed of 60 km / h I drove into a fairly large puddle - the wheels "surfaced", the car moved noticeably, at a higher speed, an uncontrollable skid would probably have turned out. I recommend it with an important caveat - you need to remember that this model is prone to aquaplaning and, if possible, try to avoid it.

Pros
  • I chose between this tire and the Pirelli Ice Zero, given that Goodyear had a decent discount, I chose it, made in Germany. Excellent cross-country ability on snow and slush, behave well on ice, brake perfectly on any surface except for dry asphalt, do not tan in the cold.
Cons
  • Noisy on asphalt Poor hydroplaning resistance; Side demolition.
