These slim LED lights are crappy! They have amazing performance at any size. I have the 3", 4" and 6" versions and they dim perfectly with my dimmer of choice. Maestro Vel/LED version. I will never install recessed glass again! Update January 2019: I recently installed all 15 added another 4" wafers over my house and they are just awesome! LOVE LOVE LOVE her. This is an installer's dream of a lifetime - you can drill a hole anywhere - even under the plumbing, and install these guys right under the obstruction. As long as you can stretch, have your own feeds, and have room to mount a junction box, done. I use a lot of these on Lutron Caseta Wireless Dimmers now and they work fantastic. Smooth, no visible flicker, etc. They don't fade as low as some of the LEDs I've used (Edison LED bulbs in particular dim incredibly), but dim far enough for everything I need. Sometimes I need to press estro the bottom bezel on my Caseta/Ma digital switches to make sure all the lights turn on at the same time. If you set the trim too low and try to do a cold start the lights will dim, sometimes only part lit, but once set correctly they will light up in their darkest position every time. I have a couple of 6" cans but now exclusively use the 4" - I don't notice any difference in performance and just find the 4" to be a great almost invisible look. Can't recommend them highly enough.
