Assembly was pretty quick and easy. This is a good entry-level telescope with all the necessary details. Had we not watched the video and paid attention to the upgrade noted in the video, part of the assembly would have annoyed us. Hence the 4 stars. It would make more sense to note this update in the instructions than to watch the video. It also doesn't have a 'standard' tripod mount, so as far as I can tell you have to use the small tripod that comes with it, while I couldn't find a larger tripod for the mount used.
