I bought a size 14" (for a 12-14" dog neck) for my mother's pictured adult male dog (above left) because the new puppy does too shown (above right). ) chewed on two (2) of his collars. She's still teething and will chew (or try to chew) a new collar, but so far it's holding up - both because it's resistant to sharp puppy teeth and because it keeps its color. .It had no smell of metal on arrival.It was very well packaged.The chain feels high quality,it feels firm and heavy and is not coppery yellow in color.The color has also not faded from normal wear or puppy teeth despite the weight showed my mum's dog no complaints - didn't scratch the collar, didn't scratch etc. I'm not sure how he will hold himself to the leash when walking but if only for dogs who aren't normally on a leash/indoors, then I highly recommend.
