My previous cable also charged my iPad Air 2 during live streaming. This one that drains power when I use it for anything. My iPad was 70% charged the first day I used this cable. I wasn't using my iPad but it was on. It ended up losing all power (0%) even though it was plugged in. The plug or adapter is the quick plug/charger adapter I've always used. As a result, the cable does not provide enough capacity to maintain a charge during use, and it will not charge quickly even when the iPad is turned off. From zero (0%) percent charge to 50% charge is also 4 hours. Very dissatisfied. Also, you need to make sure that the device is connected properly because sometimes it doesn't plug in all the way or fully.
