I am hoping to teach my 5 month old cat how to use a harness so she can go outside safely with me. I chose this device for its ease of input, its design and its obvious reliability. When I first put it on my cat she bucked like crazy so I didn't leave it on her for more than a minute. I decided it would be best to introduce them gradually, so I waited a few days (maybe a week) before trying again. She clearly wasn't a fan this time, but she was starting to get used to it and played with him for a few minutes. I also saw that she had some treats while she was on it. I love that she doesn't have to pull anything over her head and the closure is an easy and quick Velcro on the back. In a week or so I'll tighten the harness and add a leash and start taking her outside (when it's not raining or cold) so she can associate wearing a harness with new adventures. I expect she will need a bigger one as she gets older, but this one seems like a good choice for a kitten.
