This Kohler flush hose set is an improved successor to the original hose on my Kohler kitchen faucet. Kohler has improved hose design in recent years. First, the new hose design was easier to install than the old hose design. Second, and more importantly, the hose now has a swivel instead of a straight connector that attaches the hose to a detachable hand held sprayer. This is a significant improvement over the original design. Thanks to the swivel joint, the handheld sprayer is easier to control and steer than before, as the user does not have to contend with the occasional weight and tension of the hose. Also, the sprayer sits better in the faucet body than before because the swivel always allows the hose to pull straight back and down through the faucet body. So when the hand shower is placed back onto the top of the faucet body, the spray openings are always fully down. The rigidity of the direct connection to the old hose sometimes caused the sprayer holes to bend at a slight outward angle when the handheld sprayer was reinserted into the faucet body. This used to cause water to spray slightly to one side (i.e. not straight down) when the sprayer was in the faucet body. Now this problem is solved.
