Holy shit! on Painting, Painting & Art Supplies

I picked this up when I noticed the price had dropped from $35 to about $25 pipe. And he said the pipe is a friggin' octagon! As such, your fingers have a variety of surfaces to explore when looking for the best grip. The weight lends itself to subtle changes in the pressure on the load, resulting in more successful and subtle shading. You can rotate it and get thicker or thinner lines. It's brass, so it smells like brass and makes your hand smell the same. But then again, it's brass, so the autofocus is great and reliable. My only (minor) complaint would be that this is a clutch, not an automatic. So if you keep the button pressed, the whole wire can fall out. But that seems like the way to go for most drop pins I think, and they're easier to take apart if needed. Just make quick clicks to push the lead out and push the excess length back in with your finger. It's small enough to fit in your pocket and I believe the Kaweco Sport octagonal pen clips fit in if you like it. Once it's safely stowed in your EDC bag or pocket, you're all set to paint, sketch, write, carpentry, fidget (this thing is great fidget stuff), or punch an intruder in the eye. And you can easily store it in a pencil case. In any case cool.
