This is just a very good silicone mat. It's soft to the touch and doesn't move when in place. I haven't tested how heat resistant it is as I wouldn't recommend placing a hot iron directly on it. But solder drips can sometimes occur, and if they get onto the mat, your table underneath will be fine. Because the solder is silicone, it doesn't stick, so cleanup is a breeze. There are many small indentations on the top, perfect for keeping the screws in order. There is nothing more to say about it, but it is beautiful and recommendable.
