For some reason we have to use them at my college where I cook so there is no other option. Accuracy is usually within three degrees, but in most cases it is accurate. The problem with them is that sometimes they stay on when I get home, I have to test them to turn them off to save battery life, and after a few drops on the floor they keep going abnormal and I have to get a new one to buy . So I bought five of these, and in the year and a half since I've been in this kitchen, I've had four sitting on my desk and have no idea what to do with them. These would be great for home use but if you do kitchen cleaning and bend over a lot they fall out of your pocket very easily, the clip is pretty flimsy and not deep enough to fit in my pocket. All the Way. But it's very easy to use when it works properly, I'm sure I'll buy them again.
