Barn Door Hardware works well with Cabinet Hardware

The hardware I bought should prevent the door from opening outwards. We have replaced plastic with metal. It was easy to replace as the holes were already in place when the door was originally installed. The head of one screw broke when I tried tightening it flush with the metal bracket. Since there are two screws, one on the front of the door and one on the back to hold the metal bracket, the door slides into place with ease.
