I bought it for kneading dough, specially for bread. It is very easy to use and kneads bread perfectly. It has a "ferment" mode (aka proofer mode) so you can knead and proof in the same pot. I've used it before and baked perfect bread. Of course, you need to know when the bread has kneaded to the window pane stage and know if it has risen long enough for the fingerprint to remain indented. For reference, the bread recipe I used contained 4 cups of flour, took 32 minutes to knead to the point where it passed the window pane test, and 1 hour of proofing was enough to pass the fingerprint test. Compared to the kitchen helper with dough hook, the kneading kneader takes longer to knead, but the kneading kneader does not get very hot during kneading like the kitchen helper. I also used my breadmaker for kneading and it also heats up. Also, I can't set the kneading/proofing time on a bread maker like I can on a kneader. I can also set the proofing time on the kneader. Seems to be well made, hope it lasts a long time.
