These through holes are fantastic for standard seats. I hesitated for a long time about buying them because the seats had to be shortened. However, they are worth the time to fit and are exactly how the seats should have been from the factory. For the installation I needed a black marker, a tape measure, a dremel with a cutting tool and a whetstone. There are several options for cutting tools for Dremel. I used one of the high speed cutters. Once you've traced the outline, use the cutter to cut off the plastic. Check the passage on the back and then use the grindstone to free up the extra space. After that, I tore off the foam from the seat with my hand. Be careful with this step! You should only pull on the foam to allow the frame to slide inward. Don't let the foam overhang your neckline. With the foam removed it's time to cut out the front of the seat. Using a tape measure, make 4-5 small marks 1 inch below the top stitch. These marks run parallel to the stitch. Corner seams at each corner. You measure an inch here too, and use a marker to draw a line straight up where the seams begin to slope back across the seat bottom. Connect all the lines with a marker and make sure everything is centered. Now it's time to cut. You cut along the trace line leading to the edges. At each corner of the seat you need to cut a stitch. Dragonfire's instructions say a quarter inch. I found I needed about 1/2 inch on each side. Check the foam removal again at the corners. If you don't clean this part of the foam, the inserts won't snap into place. Once you're sure the foam won't interfere with the fitting of the pieces together, it's time to insert the through holes. Put the anus in the seat and then the front one. Notice the clips and how they connect with each pass. Align them while sliding the front passage inward. Once aligned, lay the seat back on a hard surface and press the front yoke down onto the hard surface by snapping the two pieces together. Ready! Clean up your mess.
