Heats up too fast

Be careful, these jars heat up ridiculously fast. They're great if you're new to candle making considering how cheap they are, but you get what you pay for. There are no raised protective legs on the underside, allowing the candle jar to rest squarely on the surface it is standing on. I gave my sister a candle from this and she left a burn mark on her wooden dresser. My mother said it cracked the surface it was on when she burned one of them. If that candle is really good, it will heat up too quickly (and it shouldn't if it's really good), and when you light the wick it will tunnel. boo Another problem I have is that there is no raised wick tab inside to help you center the wick. If you don't use them for candles but for lotions or for storing things, they're great. However if you are thinking of using them for candles I would look elsewhere and go to a real candle dealer. I switched from Amazon to a real supplier and it SUMMARY changed my attitude towards candle making. The only reason I gave it two stars is because I think it's a good container to start with. but I only recommend using glasses with raised safety feet or only heat resistant glass like glass jars. To each his own. but if you use them and give candles to people, you must be aware of their danger. They heat up quickly so not worth it in my opinion.

Pros
  • Candle making
Cons
