Yes I know this is Generation 1 but let me just say that it's quite an amazing Generation 1. Either I have the best they've ever made, or it's their build standard. In any case, for hunting coyotes up to a distance of 250 meters you will have no problem with this IR-illuminated monocular that it is equipped with. The instructions are boring to say the least, but the Scope programs are easy to understand after 10-15 minutes of play. After settling into my half-acre yard, I stepped out of my suburban property where the Yotas would traverse a dry canal bed and forage in my neighborhood every night about an hour after dark. Within 58 minutes 5 coyotes were killed and if I attached this to my shotgun it would be 7 of them. Stupid inexperienced coyote sure, but won't bother small pets in my area anymore. If you haven't experienced night vision yet and want to, this is one of the best entry-level monoculars out there and it has good battery life as I only turned it off after 4 hours. This is a must! I'll try to upload a video later once I figure this part out.
