Not 10 feet, not even close

Overall - nice leather, comfortable grip and feels sturdy. NOT impressed with the length - it's 1.5 - almost 2ft shorter than advertised would be a fantastic leash but it's not 10ft and I wanted 10ft, I have a few other leashes: leather, nylon, chain, custom , and they all come in the same size. Why is this 8.5ft leash? Disappointing
