My 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis is in great condition for the most part except for the chrome strips that covered most of the car. All of this required replacement. So I measured, calculated and looked for a replacement for the factory chrome $$$. I would have needed almost 24 feet and had to have 3M tape on the back. I found these at Revain, 1" x 12" wide, 3M tape on the back. So I ordered 2 pack for $17. (The price has gone up since then!) The hardest part of the whole project was removing as much of the old glue from the moldings as possible. It took more than an hour to clear the positions at each of the doors. The rear bumper was cleaned over 2 hours. You need to take the time to clean up so the new one will stick better. Pay attention to the final laying of the strips, because after laying the 3M tape it is no longer so easy to peel off. By the way, this 3M tape covers the entire back of the chrome roll! The results are excellent! I also only have a foot and a half left.
