Luckily I ordered a pack of 10 and only needed four. Of the first eight I tried, only four worked. The bulbs I had wouldn't snag on the internal threads and I couldn't screw the bulb into the adapter. I can't say for sure that the problem was with the adapters and not the bulbs I have, but judging by other reviews it's a common problem that the internal threads aren't long enough. That's why I put two stars instead of one. If you need it, please order double the quantity you really need. For those who worked, adapting the 75w E11 halogen bulbs made a huge difference in the room lighting compared to the standard E12 candelabra bulbs available.
