Doesn't crunch. on baking pans

Bought a 9 inch round stone. Preheat in the oven according to the instructions. They put the pizza on the stone. The pizza was slightly larger than the stone, hanging 3/4 inch all the way around. Cooked within the allotted time and the top was perfect. The pizza was taken away and the bottom of the pizza was completely uncooked. Guess what? - The edge of the crust hanging over the stone and exposed was 100% perfect and crispy. The rest was inedible, and if you cook it longer only the top will burn. sent back. If you want the crust to be crispy, forget it.
