I bought 2 of these and am very happy that I didn't get more. The big holes are too small, the small holes are too big, and the big holes are too small for measuring spoons. You must remove the entire lid to measure the spices. If the little holes were about half the size I could use them for salt, if they were about a third the size they would fit regular salt and pepper and all. powdered spices. If the big holes were a little bigger they would work well with rosemary, oregano and other woody herbs as I don't know what to use them for. I've tried woody herbs, salt, and garlic powder, of course. Cleaning between them was difficult as the spices (especially the powdered ones) got stuck between the rotating part of the top and the base where there are holes. I poured into a white bowl to see what happens when you shake it, using first small and then large holes for each spice. When I tried to clean the lid between each type of spice, I couldn't completely hand wash the lid and the dishwasher didn't rinse out all of the previous spices because even after the lid was completely dry I saw that some of the previous spice came with it the new spice in the bowl. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect spice lids, but so far I've only found one that I like for medium to small woody herbs (Jarware Plastic Regular Mouth Mason Jars Spice lids), one for medium to large herbs (lids that I save for Kroger brand cheese parmesan) and not on powdered spices.
