I was sure I would need a new rocker cover gasket to stop the oil leak on my 2 year old 1.7 Honda Civic. Turns out, after a little research, this little fork has a reputation for being bad. Luckily, this is the simplest solution you can think of. The old one is immediately removed with a flat screwdriver, and the new one is immediately inserted. Opening the package took longer than installing. So no more oil loss. I've only driven it about fifty miles, but before that it started slowly dripping after a minute or two of idling. I will update if it's out soon. ***UPDATE*** I had it installed for about a month and put on about 1200 flat easy miles. This part has already failed. It was installed after an oil flush and new full synthetic oil change. All surfaces were cleaned and properly prepared prior to installation and the engine was never overheated. I don't drive this car fast or hard and there's no reason it should break down that easily. It's just bad quality. As the old fork was thrown away I cannot remove and return this. It's a cheap part so there's not much waste, but it's frustrating when something as simple as an O-ring can't last more than a couple of weeks considering the original part has 200,000 miles on it.
