Works out of the box as a window and CAD arm. I haven't experienced any lags or stutters with all the default settings. My small palm rests on the mouse and feels very comfortable. I only use and need the 3 most common buttons (left, right and middle wheel) and don't use any other extra buttons. Due to the negative rating I was skeptical at first; However, it turned out to be a very good replacement for all my wired and wireless Logitech thumb trackballs as the middle mouse button works well with CAD programs like Creo and PDF Pro to zoom, pan and rotate a 3D model. The footprint seems a bit smaller than Logitech's trackball, but it's still bulky for travel. I wish it was as small as the Kensington Bluetooth SlimBlade Wireless Trackball Mouse K72281US with Bluetooth instead of RF connection as it can save me a USB port on my Dell XPS 18. Otherwise I would give her 5 stars. Only time will tell if it's as reliable as Logitech products. In my case it should be, since I don't use it every day, only when I travel.
