We drove 12 hours with a 15 month old baby. I thought about buying a portable DVD player but it was MUCH better. It was more profitable and easier. I downloaded the season of The Mickey Mouse Club, attached it to my iPad mini and my headrest (it's still facing backwards), and off we went. When he got restless we started the video and everything was fine. My iPad is held securely in both vertical and horizontal positions. I love it. This made our trip much easier.
