Review on 🚴 Cycling Wind Noise Reducer: AirStreamz by David Causillas

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Usually they work, in some cases they don't.

PRO: Works well if they work for you at all CONS: Expensive for what they are, small rectangle of fur and Velcro. I am not affiliated with this company or product at all. I see reviews that they don't work. I suspect they are not installed correctly. And depending on the shape of your face, the size of your helmet, and how protruding your ears are, they might not fit you—period. If you have a large round head, prominent ears, and a very large helmet, you may not get any benefits. Everyone else should. Make sure the FRONT straps of your helmet where the cat ears attach fit snugly around your face, play with your straps to ensure they fit your face snugly. Keep in mind that you may need to uncomfortably tighten the helmet strap clip at the neck/chin for it to work properly. Most wind noise is caused by the whistling between the helmet strap and the face. Place temples OVER straps and press cat ears firmly against temples. If that doesn't work, then you might be one of the few for whom they don't work at all. They also don't block wind noise coming from the side or behind, so you can still hear it when it's not blowing straight ahead. The jury is still out for me, personally I hate ANYTHING that constricts my throat and my helmet straps have to be uncomfortably tight for them to work. I happen to be deaf in one ear so I can experiment with both on the side of my healthy ears to see if that helps so I can loosen the strap a bit.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, everything is fine
