Makes Aftershokz mic usable while cycling

I originally bought these to reduce wind noise in my ears while cycling. Worked well and I didn't notice them (no itching, no heat, no sweat). Bought a set for my wife. We thought they were ok but we could live without them. STILL, we bought the Aftershokz Trekz Titanium bone conduction headphones to use as part of a bike-to-bike communication system. Wow! Without AirStreamz, Trekz's noise-canceling mics were useless in any wind. With AirStreamz pure voice recording. A simple first test was in…

Does what it says on the tin

In short, these handy wind deflectors do what they're supposed to, which is to significantly reduce wind noise when cycling. I road bike and usually ride between 19 and 22 mph and the difference should be 15dB if not 20dB. Unlike the other reviewer, I do NOT tighten the chin strap. I always wear glasses and they have "temporal peaks" that curve slightly into a curve. This allows me to easily attach the goggles to the front straps, and I keep the top of the AirStreamz very close to the temples…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Long delivery time

When installed correctly, AirStreamz works as advertised.

Before you start your journey, make sure you have positioned your AirStreamz correctly. This varies from person to person and it may take some time before you know the best position to wear it. I strapped them to my helmet and cranked a simple table fan on high about six inches from my face. When they are in the perfect position for your face and helmet, you MUST hear a significant reduction in wind noise. This becomes even more apparent when you get out of the car and start driving. Although…

Sport Silencer

I was hesitant to order cat ears, they seemed a bit naïve and I couldn't imagine how much the noise would be reduced by wearing them. I was wrong! I followed the instructions to attach it to my helmet strap and made a 25 mile trip across the country. I immediately noticed a decrease in the volume of the wind noise. I usually wear a pair of sports headphones when playing at a low volume on my commute, and the cat-ears reduced the noise enough that I could actually hear the music. I'm not saying…

Usually they work, in some cases they don't.

PRO: Works well if they work for you at all CONS: Expensive for what they are, small rectangle of fur and Velcro. I am not affiliated with this company or product at all. I see reviews that they don't work. I suspect they are not installed correctly. And depending on the shape of your face, the size of your helmet, and how protruding your ears are, they might not fit you—period. If you have a large round head, prominent ears, and a very large helmet, you may not get any benefits. Everyone else…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, everything is fine
