Review on 🚴 Cycling Wind Noise Reducer: AirStreamz by Sean Copeland

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sport Silencer

I was hesitant to order cat ears, they seemed a bit naïve and I couldn't imagine how much the noise would be reduced by wearing them. I was wrong! I followed the instructions to attach it to my helmet strap and made a 25 mile trip across the country. I immediately noticed a decrease in the volume of the wind noise. I usually wear a pair of sports headphones when playing at a low volume on my commute, and the cat-ears reduced the noise enough that I could actually hear the music. I'm not saying all of the noise has been eliminated, it's more like noise reduction. What I noticed about cat ears is that they are a little small for my very large ears and also stick out about 1/4. " from my head at the ends. In other words, the cat ears only deflected the wind 75-80% away from the ear. After the ride, I grabbed my helmet and went to my workshop to try and find a simple fix Since there is room in the cat ears, I came up with the idea of putting two thin velcro straps in each device to increase the volume of the cat ears. I tried my modification on a 30 mile ride yesterday and it was a resounding success !Wind noise was significantly reduced compared to the standard version, I was able to hear traffic noise and music through the headphones. Thanks to the folks at Cat-Ears for introducing me to a great product and solving an annoying problem I've had over the years.
