Review on 🎯 Enhanced Accuracy and Flexibility: Kerick Valve MA3P2 Float Adjustable for Optimal Control by Jay Liu

Good and bad for valves

I just installed this to adjust an inground pool's autofill line. Pros: The actual installation took only a few minutes - unscrew the old float, wrap teflon tape around the threads of the new float, screw in and adjust the float with the wing nut. The Bad: The unit I received came with a screw and wing nut with defective threads. Right out of the box I tried to loosen the wing nut by hand but couldn't and just assumed it was overtightened at the factory. I used pliers to loosen it. I ended up having to use pliers to completely remove the wing nut from the bolt as it never turned freely by hand. After cutting, I felt that the threads of the bolts were very rough, so I had to use a magnifying glass to file away the excess metal dross that was clinging to the threads of the bolts. I then had to use a tap to straighten the threads on the wing nut as those threads weren't smooth either. Maybe I was just unlucky and got a bad one. I do not know. Suggest the manufacturer not to use cheap equipment (probably steel made in china) to save pennies or better quality control measures as SERVICE was supposedly easy when buying this particular float switch. Adjust the level of the float with the large wing nut BY HAND and don't try to sink the bulky wrench into the small round hole where the float switch is located. Whether the float switch will shut off the water properly is still unclear as I just installed it. After 24 hours everything is fine. I assume it will work properly in this review and I will update the review if it doesn't.

Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
