The toy is not as difficult as expected

This toy has two "steps" that the birds have to go through to get food. In the first stage, they move the portion and the food falls into the second chamber. This stage is not difficult for most birds - even if the bird gets angry and starts rocking the toy, the chute will move and the food will fall to the second level. On the second level, the bird has to pull the leather cord to lower the platform from which the food falls. My macaw just shakes the toy and the food goes through both stages very quickly. It's not a challenge for him and doesn't slow him down at all. My Gray Parrot just drops onto the platform for the second stage, which pushes the food far enough for it to fall through from top to bottom. She never uses the slide, but she always gets food easily. My Senegal is very determined but not heavy enough to pull anything out. She loves the toys the most and spends most of her time with them. She's the only one who seems to understand how to pull the string down - she just can't move it far enough. All my birds are quite proficient at feeding toys and I end up having to replace them with various attachments like a zipper. Ties that need to be removed, paper balls in the way, tricky placement, etc. This toy is very easy to modify to make it more challenging for experienced collectors. However, the toy cannot be disassembled for easy cleaning.
