Disappointed with this toy

Unfortunately this toy wasn't strong enough for my blue and gold macaw. At first she was afraid of him because of his size, and then she had difficulty moving around him because of my limited placement options in the cage. She quickly recovered from her fright and they immediately ripped off one of the covers into a square and threw it on the floor of the cage. From the start it seemed thin. She interacted with him for several weeks. I like the idea of it being clear because it helps motivate…

My sun will thought it was an evil monster sent to kill her.

. Even after a couple of years she never got tired. This toy, on the other hand, was not well received. First, it doesn't appear to be hanging directly on the wall of the cage. Some doors didn't stay closed. However, I tried to put my bird's favorite treats in the doors that were closed. Unfortunately, she decided that this toy was actually a monster sent to kill her and hid in the opposite corner of the cage until I realized I would never make her love this thing. This was AFTER leaving the…

Forraging Feed - only two stars because:

This device only works with large items. rounds that fill and slide into the feeding tube. However, if two or more are inserted into the chamber, they are likely to fall into the down tube and get stuck in the slider. I modified my system to only allow one part at a time. Now I can fill the upper chamber and it works fine. Unfortunately, all of these foraging systems are poorly designed and all require modification in order to work. They're all fine, but they won't work properly unless…

Good feeding toy for big birds (and some small ones)

This toy was bought for two of my intelligent cockatiels. To use this toy I put paper based bird safe cat litter inside to support the treats as the cockatiel is quite deep to stand on and then pop your head into each compartment. After several months of use, they can open any compartment (except the one described below) if each of them has been left open for a split second, as the door compartments are rigid. Because they are small birds, they have to stand up. Carousel which is fine except…

Great and interesting for Meyer Parrot sized birds

I won't say your bird won't be afraid of this but my Meyer Parrot was curious and interested in this one Plastic feeding device as if it were only in his field of vision. It took him a while to learn and understand how it works, but a few months later he's very good at one particular door and has to fiddle around with others to get his special treat. A door is causing him problems, but he is working on it. Even if all the doors are open and empty, sometimes he likes to come up and chew. Your…

The toy is not as difficult as expected

This toy has two "steps" that the birds have to go through to get food. In the first stage, they move the portion and the food falls into the second chamber. This stage is not difficult for most birds - even if the bird gets angry and starts rocking the toy, the chute will move and the food will fall to the second level. On the second level, the bird has to pull the leather cord to lower the platform from which the food falls. My macaw just shakes the toy and the food goes through both stages…

Slightly large for Conures, Small for Revains

My Conure had a little trouble opening the hinged squares. He doesn't have the strength to open them as the loops are very tight. We opened and closed them ourselves to solve them for him. However, the drawer and the pivoting drawer work well for this. This feeding system is a little larger than it looks in the picture and my kennel is tiny in comparison. It easily attaches to the side of the cage wherever you want to put it. But I warn you not to put it under the perches or your bird will play
