This device only works with large items. rounds that fill and slide into the feeding tube. However, if two or more are inserted into the chamber, they are likely to fall into the down tube and get stuck in the slider. I modified my system to only allow one part at a time. Now I can fill the upper chamber and it works fine. Unfortunately, all of these foraging systems are poorly designed and all require modification in order to work. They're all fine, but they won't work properly unless modified. Trust me I have several different ones and they all need to be modified. The lower "vertical sliding section" sometimes does not slide so well and there is limited scope for product to fall out. If the slider is pushed all the way down, the feed remains in the feeder. It helps to change the spring tension according to your bird's size. Another change in this section also fixes the general issue.
