That's not the quality the Dyson is selling.

If you look at the photo of these filters you will notice two semicircular black bits. These are rubber parts designed to "mock up" the rubber on your stock post engine filter. The post motor filter is a filter with a purple body and a non-washable HEPA filter (located on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner). ) A fully washable filter is by no means the same quality as the foam filter you find on your original filter, it obviously doesn't wash as well and doesn't last as long. ) doesn't fit as well as it should, and I don't think those two little pieces of rubber with their sticky backing holding them in place do the job as well as a Dyson pre-motor filter. I installed them myself. , with the help of YouTube videos. I recommend that you have someone help you open the post motor socket (purple case). Breaking the Plastic There are three places where the plastic must be carefully pierced with springs so that you can open the jar. I managed to do it with two flathead screwdrivers, but it was bloody difficult. If someone helps, it makes things easier. Hopefully the black rubber inserts on the post-motor HEPA filter will work, but I have my doubts. I really hope I don't have to throw away these filters (cost: $12.95 + tax) and get GENUINE Dyson parts ----- but if they don't work I will. UPDATE: 4/11/18. The handyman informed me that I installed the post motor filter housing/bushing the wrong way round(?). He corrected it and said that the vacuum cleaner works fine (he likes to vacuum, you know). Still seems like a good buy.
