Overall this product is excellent and fair for the price. I've had it for 1 month, no problems so far. If you're a light sleeper and use it at night, the maximum fan setting will be noisy (through airflow). In the room I use it in 13x13. It's not that the air smells "fresher", it's that it's being cleaned, if that makes sense (the room has stuff in it, it won't smell like fresh air, just a lot cleaner). Noticeable difference.
