Bought for my mother in law who is blind the vox is a bit fiddly but if she just says a long word it activates then says everything before shutting down. If I were to add a feature, since all the function buttons are on the front (FM, channel change, lock, volume up/down), it would be easier for a blind person to just press the side button to talk like a walkie-talkie. She recently had an eyeball, so she still can't see or touch the buttons. I assume her sense of touch will gradually improve, but I only attached a small 1/2 piece of velcro to the talk button. Excellent purchase. So far this is the first day. FM for us who follow their surprises with clarity and reach.
