This purchase replaced an old Braun that has served me well for more years than I can remember. And after all these years I dropped it and it broke... it just wouldn't stop working. The exchange is a huge improvement. We can say that this is a quality product. It's so easy to put together and the stand mixer is perfect for small jobs where you don't want to lug around a 10 or 12 cup stand mixer. And with 500 watts, it's powerful enough to mix soups with silky-smooth deliciousness. I'm not a smoothie fan, but judging by its properties with soup, I think it makes great smoothies too. I was hesitant because of the price but I'm so glad I finally bought it instead of going for a cheaper brand. You get what you pay for, at least in this case.
