I didn't have the problems described in the negative reviews. • The watch had a small white plastic tab behind the manual adjustment knob. This prevented the watch from starting and depleting its original charge. As soon as I took it off and pushed the handle all the way in, the watch started • Yes, the second hand jumps 2 seconds; I guess that's what it's designed for. Think of it as a "two second" hand. • So far (24 hours) the watch has kept the exact time. I wanted to mention the length of the watch strap as a small "problem" as it barely fits my 7 inch wrist. But I took a closer look and found that the strap can be made longer and the strap can also be replaced. IMHO the sundial is one of the best inventions. I could buy another one for that price.
