Review on 🚦 GM Genuine Parts D1539J Brake Light Switch: Reliable and Efficient for Enhanced Vehicle Safety by Mark Deuschle

I recently purchased a 2008 GMC Yukon SLT. On the way home from the dealership, I was horrified to find that the cruise control was not working. When the cruise was turned on, the indicator on the steering wheel lit up, but the "Set" button didn't work. I did a little research on the net, which drew my attention to this part. I watched a few assembly videos and decided to jump into the DIY world (against my wife's objections!). The item arrived in a sealed AC/Delco plastic bag mailed in a padded envelope. I'm a Prime member and the item arrived in two days - I was impressed. There is some debate that this part is incorrectly designed and the GMC Technical Service Bulletin lists the new part number. As far as I know this part is an updated part. My part was all black plastic, not white as pictured, but the part number matched what was ordered. Installation was easy (other than me, a screw fell behind and under the floor mat - but that was my fault. Installation time was supposed to take less than 15 minutes. I took the car for a test drive immediately after installation. The first press was the Cruise didn't work, but it worked on the second press, it's been working correctly for 2 days now, I'm glad this is a solution to the cruise control not working problem - interestingly the name of the part has nothing to do with it to do with cruise control but it's fixed!Prompt delivery pleasantly surprised.
