Review on ๐ŸŽ๏ธ EBC Brakes DP41162R Yellowstuff Street and Track Brake Pad: Superior Performance for Road and Racing Enthusiasts by Nick Childs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best road/track combo pad I have ever ridden

According to the instructions they take a little longer than other pads (Hawk, Carbotech, OEM etc.), until they break in completely, but after about 500 miles, including a couple of hard braking sessions, they've settled in nicely. They're safe when dead cold (30 degrees), adequate when warmed up a bit during the occasional commute, and come alive with a hard brake application to warm them up to just the right temperature. The noise level is minimal, only one corner squeaks when cold, after warming up they are silent. Braking performance for double digit speeds is fantastic, with strong initial bite and no damping, I haven't had a chance to try it on the track or on long spirited rides yet. I may come back later and update my review depending on how hard they are on the rotors, how much dust they generate and how they perform in high load driving scenarios.

Pros
  • High friction pad for better braking at high speeds
Cons
  • Hard to tell
